MJ Consulting Group has contributed to a great deal to local organizations and causes, including being selected as a subject matter expert in Fund Development and Grant Writing to provide coaching and technical assistance to four (4) nonprofit organizations from across the country as part of the White House Community Violence Intervention Collaborative. We have secured grants totaling more than $3.2 million from District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General for the Alliance of Concerned Men (ACM) for a youth violence prevention initiative. In addition to securing a $2 million U.S. Department of Justice grant to expand ACM’s violence prevention efforts, we have also:

• Secured a grant of $1.5 million over 3 years from United Health Foundation for District of Columbia Primary Care Association
• Secured more than $1.2 million in Learn24 grants for a DC after school program
• Organized DC Primary Care Association Annual Meeting focused on strategic innovations to transform health care, including securing a keynote and other featured speakers and organizing a luncheon and awards ceremony for the event with nearly 200 attendees
• Organized the Faith and Initiative Conference for Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary, a 3-day conference exploring innovative ideas and creating new models in education and ministry
